Cruise from San Francisco
If Tony Bennett was starting out today, he might have sung "I Left My Wallet In San Francisco." The city by the bay has outgrown its rough-hewn port roots and more recent hippie past to become one of the most sophisticated (and correspondingly expensive) cities in the country.
Here's the good bit: It's worth every penny. Make that, worth every $20 note. There's nothing like watching the fog billowing into the bay. Or walking the streets filled with must-buy shopping, must-nibble eats and must-ride streetcars. Or taking a seat in whatever this week's hippest bar is to enjoy a hip drink amid unashamedly hip people. Or, to put it this way: When was the last time someone told you they had a bad time in San Francisco? Didn't think so.
