Cruise to Monte Carlo

Go on and admit it—when your friends ask, “So, what places did you visit on your cruise?” you’d love to casually add, “Oh, and Monte Carlo” to the list. You know why: Simply saying the words feels luxurious. Monte Carlo, located in Monaco (which itself is located within the borders of France; confused yet?), is the gold standard for European high-rolling. The casino is world famous—bring your passport, wear a jacket in the evenings and be prepared to pay admission for the privilege of losing your cash. Outside, Monaco surprises with quaint charms, sun-drenched beaches and elegant promenades. It’s expensive. It’s conservative. Wait, it’s very expensive. But for a day, it’s a great place to call home. Or at least tell people you did.
