Grand Turk is a tiny island in Turks & Caicos and is a favorite among cruisers. The port relies heavily on the cruise industry - many places open only on days when ships are in port. As a result, visitors are greeted with warmth and hospitality. It's a small island (it's only 6.5 miles long and 1.5 miles across) and can safely be explored by scooter or golf cart. Most visitors choose cruise ship excursions to enjoy the crystal blue waters on the beach, with a snorkel, or courtesy of a dive tank. Grand Turk boasts some of the regions best diving and snorkeling and lovely beaches. The popular Grand Turk Cruise Center provides shopping, a pool, beach, and the Caribbean's largest Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.
