Cruise from Whittier
Whittier, Alaska is a small fishing village tucked away in a mountainous cove at the western edge of Prince William Sound off the Alaskan gulf.
As your cruise ship pulls into port you’ll notice the grayish blue-colored waterfalls running down the sides of the forthcoming mountains, whose peaks appear to be topped with clouds like scoops of vanilla ice cream on a cone. You won’t find a stoplight, a beauty salon, FedEx, UPS or even a bank in Whittier. What this off-the-beaten-path port doesn’t lack is a rich history, which gives cruisers a unique glimpse into an authentic Alaskan town.
