Seabourn Odyssey OVERVIEW

In the late 2000s, Seabourn Cruise Line launched a series of next-generation megayachts, starting with the 450-passenger Seabourn Odyssey. Despite increasing the number of travelers it greets each year, the cruise line has managed to retain its exclusivity and high level of service. Stateroom stewardesses are well trained and ensure you’ll never run out of shampoo (it’s the little things) or that the ice never melts in the bucket next to the in-room fridge. Bartenders and wait staff immediately learn your preferences, and affable officers ensure that the ship is running smoothly day and night.

Seabourn Odyssey was designed with sea days in mind and offers an impressive array of diversions including standard offerings like outdoor pools ,several hot tubs and a casino. Standouts include the 11,400-square-foot Spa at Seabourn offering everything from steamy aroma filled baths to head to toe Thai massages and Chinese reflexology.

For those looking for a bit of thrill, Odyssey features a Marina Day with complimentary watersports on select sailings. Choose from a banana boat to a kayak or even in an inner tube that’s pulled along by a speedboat. The ship also offers Movies Under the Stars and an Evening Under the Stars on deck, featuring music and dancing. And many hours can be whiled away on board at Seabourn Square, with its coffee shop, Internet café and indoor/outdoor seating perfect for people watching.

Dining on Seabourn does not disappoint with many of the restaurants inviting guests to dine when, where and with whom they wish. Options include the casual Patio Grill serving up tasty grilled sandwiches, interesting salads and freshly baked pizzas to the glamorous fine dining restaurant serving dishes like grilled filet mignon and pepper seared beef tataki to indulgent desserts of warm apple raisin and hazelnut cobbler, just to name a few.

When it’s time to turn in for the night, Seabourn Odyssey delivers in comfort and space. Odyssey offers 225 ocean view luxury suites, ranging from 295 to 1,200 square feet. Odyssey’s Wintergarden Suites are coveted for their spaciousness (1,097 square feet), dining table for six, and whirlpool tub. Suites are outfitted with a bottle of complimentary champagne; personalized stationery; a fruit basket (replenished daily); Egyptian cotton linens; soaps by Hermès, L’Occitane, and Molton Brown; and nightly turndown service.
