Tons To Do

Royal Caribbean's investment in revitalization has given Splendour of the Seas a new lease on life. With her face-lift and body sculpting, she'll be good for another 15 years at least.

Splendour of the Seas OVERVIEW

A dry dock in 2011 added 124 balconies to Splendour of the Seas' 900 staterooms and also resulted in the addition of a ducktail to counteract a case of middle-aged spread. Other than the new 276-ton tailpiece, the revamp was seamless; most guests probably won't notice. They can simply luxuriate in acres of new carpet, flat-screen TVs, in-room iPads and other improvements designed to make Splendour of the Seas every bit as good as Royal Caribbean's newest ships. Happily, that included installing the innovative touch-screen information system first introduced on Oasis of the Seas, plus the Park Café, where you'll find irresistible hot beef sandwiches.
