MSC Sinfonia is part of MSC Cruises initial offerings of Lirica Class cruise ships, smaller vessels that boast the cruise line’s distinct Italian décor and subdued elegance. Among her counterparts of smaller-sized ships is the namesake MSC Lirica, MSC Opera and MSC Armonia. True to her musical moniker, MSC Sinfonia’s main areas and decks follow a melodic motif, bearing the names of such famous composers as Beethoven, Debussy, Schubert, Mozart, Bizet and Brahms. MSC Sinfonia’s understated glamour eschews glitz and over-the-top trimmings in favor of fine wood, glass, brass and marble accents that blend seamlessly into the ship’s contemporary Italian design. The cruise ship's color scheme is equally tasteful, incorporating rich crimson, yellow and gold.
MSC Sinfonia has adopted many of the bells and whistles of MSC's newer cruise ships. Consider an Internet café with Wi-Fi, the lavish MSC Aurea Spa and Fitness Center with outstanding Balinese treatments, two swimming pools and whirlpools, mini-golf and golf simulator, sports facilities (tennis, basketball and volleyball) and a cigar bar. Among its nine bars and lounges is the two-deck Teatro San Carlo that puts on spectacles running the gamut from musicals to comedy shows to old-time vaudeville reviews. Standing ovations are a nightly occurrence.
