Touted as one of MSC Cruises’ largest ships, MSC Musica is bright, spacious and supremely ornate. Its elegant three-story atrium, La Cascata, literally sparkles with its dramatic staircase, twinkling ceiling full of lights and Lucite grand piano.
The names of her decks carry out the musical theme — Adagio, Virtuoso, Cantata, Vivace — but where MSC Musica really hits a high note is in the entertainment spaces. The cruise ship’s hot spots include a smoker’s hideaway, Havana Club cigar lounge; the large and lovely Il Tucano Lounge, outfitted with plush seating in rich plum hues; and red-hot Q32 Disco. Teatro la Scala, the showroom, is one of the prettiest at sea with its bright-red upholstery and good sight lines throughout.
MSC Musica provides active cruisers with plenty of opportunities to keep busy during daylight hours, too, offering sports facilities for shuffleboard, basketball, tennis and volleyball, as well as two pools. A fully equipped fitness center with instructor-led classes like yoga and Pilates is accessible via the MSC Aurea Spa for a back-to-back dose of recreation and relaxation.
