For her size, she lacks adventurous dining options and some of the resort-style features of her competitors, but in her decade at sea ms Oosterdam has developed a loyal, discerning following. From her elegant bars to her focus on cuisine, there's a lot to like. Be sure to save at least one night for a special dinner at the Pinnacle Grill. It's well worth the cover charge.

ms Oosterdam OVERVIEW

With her dark-blue hull and white trim, ms Oosterdam is an intriguing fusion of classical style and modern technology that offers a refined and grown-up cruising experience.

Holland America Line's ms Oosterdam might feature only a modest number of the bells and whistles that cruisers have come to expect, but the bonus is all the quiet nooks and crannies onboard. Guests are an adventurous if mature crowd, mostly in their late fifties and older, but the ship does offer children's facilities that attract families during school holidays.

The emphasis, however, is ultimately on adults, with the ship's excellent collection of stylish cocktail bars and lounges, plus a focus on fine dining.
