The classy Disney Wonder sails like a graceful ocean liner with her sleek, low profile and commanding double stacks. Inside, her art nouveau interior is a backdrop for Disney Cruise Line’s exceptional level of family fun.
Although the Disney Wonder is smaller than her newer fleet mates, the full Disney Cruise Line experience is every bit as present onboard. From the attentive service to the engaging storytelling of her entertainment, guests have plenty of familiarity to enjoy rather than being assigned to one main dining room. One restaurant in particular, Animator’s Palate, captures the true magic of Disney, with black and white character murals that magically transform into color. Note: Disney ships do not have casinos.
With nine stateroom varieties, the Disney Wonder offers an array of family-friendly cabins from inside staterooms to spacious suites.
A welcome feature for families and couples is the split bathroom—a tub/shower and sink in one compartment and a toilet and sink in another. They’re available in all cabins except standard inside staterooms, and the bathrooms found in the suites are even more elaborate.
The decor is a blend of retro nautical and nods to Disney ‑hello, Mickey!‑ and some staterooms have a wonderful cabinet resembling an upright leather steamer trunk.
Staterooms can sleep from three to seven guests; suites, of course, are more palatial and come with personal concierge service.
Each stateroom comes equipped with two Wave Phones — essentially cruise-use cell phones — that allow you to contact other Wave Phones as well as any shipboard phone and stateroom phone while onboard and ashore on Disney’s Castaway Cay. Use of the Wave Phones is free of charge.
