Cruise lines take it to the next level, with special honeymoon packages that shower newlyweds with everything from champagne breakfasts to couples massages. Many cruise lines even offer honeymoon gift registries so friends and family can pitch in to turn dreams of romance at sea into reality.

The Romance Packages on Royal Caribbean range from a touch of luxury, like champagne-and-rose-petal turndown service ($85), to super-deluxe Ultimate Romance variations that feature such amenities as breakfast in bed, delicacies served in your room every night and take-home treats, including two robes and a silver-framed portrait ($375 to $780).
Registry: The honeymoon registry can be used for anything from a couple's massage onboard to paying for the cruise.
For deluxe honeymoon pampering, book Norwegian's luxurious suites at The Haven, where complimentary amenities include a private restaurant, priority boarding, in-suite cappuccino machines and gourmet treats delivered every evening. Whether you're staying in The Haven or a stateroom, Norwegian's Honeymoon Packages add even more romance, with sparkling wine and chocolate-covered strawberries, pre-dinner canapés one evening, roses, a romantic dinner in Le Bistro ($149 and $269).

Honeymoon celebrations on Princess include a bottle of French champagne, souvenir champagne glasses, a framed formal portrait, chocolate-dipped strawberries and Godiva chocolates (about $150). Or, live even larger with all of the above, plus additional champagne breakfast in bed, waffle robes to take home, spa treatments and an invitation from the captain to visit the bridge while in port (about $445).

You have the option to choose from a list of things to use the money toward, from contribuitions to the cost of their cruise, speciality dining, couple's spa treatments and others.
For newlyweds, Holland America has an indulgent menu that includes the "Just For Us" package. It starts with roses and champagne and offers premium dinners, massages and even robes and photos to take home as souvenirs (about $520). Or try the "Romantic Voyage," which includes flowers, sparkling wine, strawberries, gourmet dining at Pinnacle Grill, massages and a card lesson with $25 worth of chips (about $307).
