Cruising on Social Media: Cruise Cuisine and Queen Elizabeth
This week, we covered exclusive updates from Seatrade Cruise Global, the year's biggest cruise industry event. Cruise lines like Norwegian, Cunard, Regent, Holland America and Crystal revealed some huge and exciting enhancements to new and existing ships in their fleet (and even the addition of a private luxury jet). It was quite the busy week in the world of cruising, and we've compiled the week's best on social media to give you a run through of what you may have missed.

Crystal Cruises is soaring to new heights--literally.
Crystal Cruises unveiled two new additions to their growing repertoire of luxury: an all-purpose megayacht (which was not available to tour but we learned some impressive details about her features) and a private jet. But it's not just a private jet--when you're traveling on Crystal Cruises, it's all or nothing when it comes to the luxury experience. We got to tour the Global Express XRS during her exclusive unveiling and snapped a few pictures along the way (visit our blog for additional photos of the Crystal Global Express XRS and details about the new megayacht).

A ride on a luxury jet is not complete without a glass of champagne:
Cunard Line wowed us with enhancement details on the remastered Queen Mary 2 (and then wowed us with delicious food).
Cunard Line's remastered Queen Mary 2 will be a royal sight to see once she's back on the water. With maticulous enhancements to her culinary offerings, aesthetic detail and upgraded accomodations for pets (hint: if you own a ferret, feel free to bring it along), guests and four-legged friends alike will be pleased with that this remastered ship has in store. We got to sample some of the ship's new culinary options (and even got to meet the chef himself) while learning details of Cunard Line's enhancements to Queen Mary 2:
Yes, we went back for seconds (and thirds):
Luxury life is a hard life, folks:
From culinary couture to Cannonball burgers...
Holland America Line's exclusive burger/hot dog eatery, Dive-In, had a food truck at this year's convention. Of course, we had to give it a try. Plus, proceeds went to Seafarer's House, which helps provide supoprt for the maritime community. A good cause and a good burger--we were all in.
We weren't quite sure what these fries were smothered in, but whatever it was, it was glorious:
Then, we met Queen Elizabeth!
Ok, not really.
But, we're looking forward to cruising to the U.K. to snap some selfies in front of Buckingham Palace. For now, we'll settle for mingling with Her Majesty's cardboard counterpart.
We also cruised to Korea
Cruises to Asia are on a rapid rise. Greetings from Korea!
