Cruise News: Carnival Honors the Military & Europa 2 Honors Golfers
Happy Cinco de Cruise News! We're sad to report that cruise lines won't be extending a "free unlimited margaritas" offer in celebration of Mexico's battlefront victory (bet you didn't know that's what this day is all about...). However, we can report a few other cruise offers coming to a cruise line near you.
Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating National Military Appreciation Month by extending special offers to service members.
Qualifying guests can enjoy a $50 onboard credit per cabin and a two-category upgrade. The promotion is yet another way the cruise line is showing its appreciation for military personnel. Earlier this year we announced Carnival's partnership with singer Carrie Underwood and Operation Homefront to put on a show for families of service members.

Feel Free at Sea offers guests flexibility when planning their cruise vacation, and if you book a cruise on Norwegian between now and end of month, you'll get to revel in the perks of this newest program. Here are a few of their newest (and coolest) offers:
- If you're sailing with your family, you can enjoy free 50 photo package and oceanview, balcony and mini-suite options.
- You'll also have access to the Friends & Family Sail Free offer, which allows 3rd and 4th guests to sail free on select dates.
- Guests who book a spot on the newly enhanced Pride of America can also take advantage of this offer.
- Additionally, if you book a suite or The Haven Experience, you can receive four free amenity offers such as free unlimited beverages, free specialty dining package, free shore excursion credits and free Wi-Fi, PLUS photo and arcade credits.
Of course, there are certain exceptions to this offer (such as applicable sailings and per-person availability for Wi-Fi), so check out Norwegian's website for more details.
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is now offering golf players the chance to perfect their skills both on board and off shore.
The Golf & Cruise voyage on Europa 2 gives guests the chance to play on a variety of golf courses—from courses in northern Europe to Colombia, Canada and USA. Check out the video below for a sneak peek at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises' unique experience:
DISCLAIMER: Contrary to popular belief, cruise lines do not allow you to hit a golf ball off into the ocean.
IN THE NEWS
MV Adonia has made it to Cuba.
Fathom Travel's ship made her inaugural departure to the Caribbean island on May 1 and we've been following her path closely. The ship visited Havana earlier this week and is currently docked in Cienfuegos. Judging by what we've seen, it's a powerful experience for those taking part in the historic Cuban sailing. Stay tuned to our blog for exclusive pictures from Adonia cruisers as the ship continues her path along the island.
