Terry Ward has worked as a freelance travel writer since 2000 when she quit her advertising job to travel the world. Since then, the Virginia native has lived everywhere from France and Morocco to New Zealand and Jamaica. Her home base, when she's in the US, is Florida. The most epic adventure of her life was a four-month trip on a small sailboat from the south of Norway to the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, where the crew fended off polar bears and went scuba diving under the pack ice. Terry's just as content traveling as a budget backpacker as heading out on assignment to report on a luxury hotel or cruise. Her dream trip is to travel by small expedition boat through the Northwest Passage, with scuba diving gear in tow.
Terry's work has been published in The Los Angeles Times, BBC Travel, ISLANDS Magazine, Endless Vacation Magazine and Scuba Diving Magazine, among many other publications. Keep up with her travels on her website, www.terry-ward.com
